  • Total Time: 45 minutes

Units Scale
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Cooked chicken
  • 1 can Biscuits
  • 1 cup Carrots (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Celery (chopped)
  • 3 sprigs Thyme or Rosemary (fresh or dried)

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F or 204°C. Don’t forget this step. This is very important if you want your chicken pot pie to cook evenly. Once you’ve turned on the oven, leave it to heat and prepare your other ingredients.
  2. Add the butter and vegetables in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add in flour and stir. Make sure to consistently stir to ensure the butter and flour don’t burn.
  4. Whisk in the milk. Whisk in one direction at a medium pace until you have a thick mixture.
  5. Add the chicken and mix.
  6. Pull the biscuits apart and carefully place them on top.
  7. Add the thyme or rosemary.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until biscuits are cooked through and golden brown.
